Great experience with a unique situation. Needed 2 furniture pieces hoisted over a railing with spiral stairs. Richard was able to accommodate me and a crazy schedule with the furniture delivery (who would not hoist) and his 3 guys were communicative, polite, and good at their jobs. Highly recommend Collins Family Movers and would use again!

Today was my second time moving with Collins Family Movers. They did a fantastic job and we didn’t have a single thing that was broken or even slightly damaged. From quote to final steps, my experience with Collins Family Movers was great, even when circumstances tested them.To start, their pricing was WAY better than others in the area, which is the only reason I was able to afford movers for more than just the big stuff.Initially, I wanted two quotes; one for the big, heavy items I can't move myself, and one for 90% of my belongings. After chatting with Richard, we planned for the second with a goal of getting it done within two hours. Richard gave advice and recommendation to help stick with this goal and made notes about the time restraint, which the movers referenced on-site.We planned my move for a Monday and they sent Jesus and Tyler, who communicated timing clearly, later agreeing to a 3-hour move.These two had their work cut out since I was moving from a third floor unit to ANOTHER third floor unit, but with a MUCH smaller back stairwell for move-ins. This seemed to be common for them because they got to it without issue. Until the couch.The couch in question is close to 80" long and has a queen-sized pull out bed. But the opponent was in the incredibly tight, almost spiral wooden stairwell up to the third floor. (This came complete with loose, unstable stairs in random areas.)All said and done, Tyler and Jesus got my couch into my unit WITHOUT damaging it, and I watched in AWE the entire time. They really had to work together to get that thing up there, and I would have rage quit 100 times.The couch debacle took roughly another hour, meaning we went even further past the goal, but I regret nothing. It was clear 45 minutes into my move that I was truly a 3-hour move, but the extra hour was worth it in spades.

Collin’s Moving company was seamless to work with. They provided confirmations with payments, the day prior, and when arriving to the job sites. Our movers Ivan and another gentleman (I’m so sorry I did not catch his name) were wonderful to work with and communicated during the whole process.Our items made it safe and sound with care. They even called later with a small item that was left by accident in the truck and delivered it right to us! Thank you so much, our moving process was stress free with Collin’s Family Movers!

We moved from Downtown Chicago to Crystal Lake to a relatively new area where the address wasn’t even on the GPS and they did not skip a beat throughout the whole way. The service I received from Collins Family movers was excellent. The movers William and Arthuro were very professional. It was the best moving experience I have ever had. I have had several moving company who do not compare to these guys. The mové was quick and affordable. My items were handled with care. I do plan to use them in the next seventeen once my lease ends. I hope William and Artura are available at that time. Not only hard workers but very friendly and very respectful. I had an amazing experience. From start to finish, they exceeded my expectations. I paid close attention to the contract and there were no surprises, Richard was very understanding. The guys were on time, and they handled all of my stuff with great care—wrapping everything securely to ensure nothing got damaged. Not only were they efficient with packing and unpacking, but they also made the entire process so much fun with their humor and positive attitudes. They were super kind and professional, making the whole move smooth and stress-free. I would absolutely hire them again for any future moves. 100% Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying this, I’m not one for reviews. I’m the type of person who forgets to rate their Uber unless the driver does a backflip and knows the “exact” recipe for my favorite taco. But when Collins Family Movers moved me from my tiny Goodyear shoebox apartment to my slightly-less-tiny Goodyear shoebox apartment (progress!), I felt compelled to share my story. Because these men are the real MVPs of the moving world - like if Superman and your favorite uncle had a baby, and that baby loved bubble wrap.First off, the team showed up “on time”. Like, “punctual” on time. I was sipping my third coffee of the morning, mentally preparing to tackle the “heavy lifting” (read: crying into a box labeled “Dishes? Maybe?”), when these giants in big blue truck arrived with grins and a plan that didn’t involve me lifting anything heavier than my existential dread.- They managed to fit my “collections” (read: 17 unread books and a suspiciously large amount of expired cereal) into the truck like Tetris champions.- When I nervously asked if my lamp—a fragile heirloom passed down from my grandma (who “actually” just bought it at Walmart)—would survive, the foreman mover deadpanned, “Ma’am, we once moved a grand piano through a second-story window. Your lamp’s got a VIP seat.”- They even helped me assemble my bed post-move while I napped on the floor like a dignitary.Collin’s Family Movers isn’t just a moving company - they’re the anti-panic buttons of Goodyear. If you’re considering them, do it! They’ll move your stuff, maybe your soul, and definitely your stress into the recycling bin where it belongs.

Talk about first class service. I was a wreck with figuring out my move from Chicago to Phoenix but Richard and his team came to my rescue. From start to finish the communication was spot on. They were early to pack up my house and even help with things around my house they didn't need to. Very respectful and professional as they went about their business. Throughout my trip I was nervous with my Harley Davidson in their care but I don't think anyone including me has ever treated her better. Richard and his team put me at ease as my Harley and entire life made their way across country. They kept updating me and even sent some pictures of my Harley on the way in different states. Loved it! Made me feel I was there the whole time but no hassle or LIFTING!!! They got to the destination perfectly on time and again went above and beyond with helping me get organized. With this service cost was no issue but what they charged me after all said and done made me a very happy customer. Beat pretty much everyone I called. They went out of their way to stick around and help with reassembly and set up of all of my furniture which was not supposed to be included but would have been very difficult for us so we are happy they went the extra mile.
