(Even from two people who had an issue with a delay in movers showing up last summer, they still spoke so highly of Collins — and when you’re moving and encounter that, a referral could then be a hit or miss!)Before the move — I spoke with Rick Dang several times when scheduling my move, and he was a pleasure to work with. He was thorough and answered all of my questions, making sure the move would be a success. I had also gathered quotes from two other companies, but speaking on the phone with Rick left an impression. I appreciated this a lot — despite being a younger person in which some folks assume we prefer doing things online, I would much rather speak to someone directly. And, sure, their quote was the best of the 3, but with the referral and Rick’s friendliness, I knew moving forward with them was a great decision.Moving day — Within the first few minutes of showing up, Will, Jeremy, and Arnulfo gave a great impression. Will was the lead, and he was so very personable! We could probably chat for hours. These guys kicked BUTT in moving my large one bedroom apartment (few stairs) to a two bedroom apartment. This was also my first “adult” move using movers, so I wanted to ensure everything was as seamless as possible in terms of my packing and labeling. They knocked out loading within an hour and a half, and unloading was a breeze as well. I also appreciated that they unmounted my TV, something I lined up with Rick ahead of time but was nervous about come moving day. While I didn’t have any items over 200 pounds, my largest items were an electric fireplace TV stand and a queen bed frame in a box. Those and all other items were moved in such an impressive manner. A big shoutout to Jeremy — he is a powerhouse with how he carries items! We were all chatting and laughing, and we appreciated how Will said it’s also important that customers are in a good state of mind during the process as it helps them too. They were so, so kind. I told them I’ve been a ball of stress during the whole process, but I’d felt SO much relief within minutes of them showing up.Overall, they wrapped up within ~3.5 hours and under quote — amazing. This was a large 1 bed to 2 bed move within 20 minutes of each other. I can’t recommend them enough. This is a family-owned company with some great folks, both movers and management. You can read and check out the “bigger” names in the city, but you’ll walk away with a great experience using Collins. (And this is not AI, I just love em dashes and have written like this for years. 😉)

Let me start by saying this, I’m not one for reviews. I’m the type of person who forgets to rate their Uber unless the driver does a backflip and knows the “exact” recipe for my favorite taco. But when Collins Family Movers moved me from my tiny Goodyear shoebox apartment to my slightly-less-tiny Goodyear shoebox apartment (progress!), I felt compelled to share my story. Because these men are the real MVPs of the moving world - like if Superman and your favorite uncle had a baby, and that baby loved bubble wrap.First off, the team showed up “on time”. Like, “punctual” on time. I was sipping my third coffee of the morning, mentally preparing to tackle the “heavy lifting” (read: crying into a box labeled “Dishes? Maybe?”), when these giants in big blue truck arrived with grins and a plan that didn’t involve me lifting anything heavier than my existential dread.- They managed to fit my “collections” (read: 17 unread books and a suspiciously large amount of expired cereal) into the truck like Tetris champions.- When I nervously asked if my lamp—a fragile heirloom passed down from my grandma (who “actually” just bought it at Walmart)—would survive, the foreman mover deadpanned, “Ma’am, we once moved a grand piano through a second-story window. Your lamp’s got a VIP seat.”- They even helped me assemble my bed post-move while I napped on the floor like a dignitary.Collin’s Family Movers isn’t just a moving company - they’re the anti-panic buttons of Goodyear. From the initial estimate to the last item off of the truck everything was top notch. They took really good care of our belongings and made sure we were getting exactly what we paid for and more.
